Hello out there!
Happy Spring, readers! The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming, our personalities are thawing. Welcome to the first of many bimonthly (that's every two months, not twice a month, to be clear!) newsletters. I wanted to take the opportunity to touch base regarding current projects and future releases, plus share a few of my current faves along the way. Thanks for joining me and I hope you're having an absolute stunner of a day.

Girl, what are you up to?
Who, me?
Okay, I'll be honest- I've been in a bit of a slump. This year has been a rough one for me as I navigate a new and very demanding 9 to 5 while setting big (maybe a little unrealistic) writing goals for myself. Add a few social commitments for spice and you've got one burnt-out babe. I'm happy to report, however, that I seem to be coming out on the other end of it, and am starting to build momentum again. So, let's run through the current WIPs.
Attention golf girlies!
Earlier this year, I was very excited to announce that I was working on my first full-length novel: a contemporary romance set in coastal BC that follows Lottie, a former golf prodigy, as she navigates healing from the trauma that led her to leave the sport she loves. She's joined by Cooper, a down-on-his-luck salesman in town for the summer on business who seems to have a bad habit of unintentionally ruining Lottie's day. Together, they pair up to compete in a doubles charity event at the local country club, learning to work together as they encounter a series of emotional hurdles.
Unfortunately, while this story is still in very slow progress and yearning to be told, I do not anticipate releasing it this year, as originally intended. The plot has taken on heavier elements than I had originally planned and, in order to do it justice, I feel it needs more time. I hope to keep you up to date on Lottie and Cooper's story as it takes shape.
Where my nineties-babies at?
You didn't think I'd leave you with NO Summer releases, did you? I am currently powering through production on a YA coming-of-age rom-com set in 1993 to bring you all the best nostalgic vibes. Our protagonist, Adam, has been in love with effortlessly cool grunge goddess Gloria (AKA Glow) for three years. The problem? He's pretty sure she doesn't know he exists, and he's too much of a pushover to make the first move, much to the annoyance of his long-time best friend Ashley, who always has to hear about it. But that's all about to change when the three of them set out on the much anticipated senior band trip- five days touring across the province with no parents and countless opportunities to get close to that special someone. Will Adam succeed in his big plan to get the girl? Stay tuned for more release details- coming Summer 2025!
Longing for another white Christmas already?
It's official: Peak Chemistry 2 is coming Winter 2025! Plotting for the sequel is nearly complete and I can't wait to dive back into the world of Crystal Peaks in this continuation of the series. Our next installment follows Bea (best friend of main character Miranda from the first book) as she returns for another season at the mountain. This time, however, our favorite upbeat party girl is straight up not having a good time. Hot on the heels of a breakup and without her core friend group for support, she's having a hard time getting into the spirit. She's thrown herself into work, freshening up her backcountry skills, but can't help butting heads with her tough instructor, Brittany. The only bright side is her budding friendship with slightly older (and totally hunky) prairie boy Pierce, who's new to the area and starting his first year facilitating dog sledding tours at the resort.
I recently had a fantastic catch-up and research interview with a friend who herself has spent several years assisting with and facilitating dog sledding tours in Alaska. This chat got me so pumped to revisit Crystal Peaks and expand on the world, and I can't wait to bring you more wintery magic!
Spring recommendations
Just like everyone else on the planet of late, I absolutely devoured the new Hunger Games prequel, Sunrise on the Reaping. I have absolutely been keeping up on the casting announcements for the 2026 movie adaptation, and am so pleased that this installment felt like a redemption after the disappointment that was TBOSAS (no shade, it just wasn't for me).
In the future, I hope to have a wider variety of books and media to recommend in this section but for now, as I've been a bit busy recently, this will have to suffice. Sorry to be a stick in the mud!
