Happy fall!
It's officially my favourite season! The air is crisp, cool, and clear, the colours are stunning, and all the best flavours are out in full force. I've always been a Fall Fangirl and it's typically the time of year when I find myself most inspired. Right now, I'm busy puttering away at the next Crystal Peaks novella (keep reading for an exclusive surprise!) while talking the ears off of anyone who will listen about the recent release of Heard This and Thought of You (also see below for related events!).

Where in time is Lillian Springfield?
That was a Carmen Sandiego reference, by the way (arguably one of the best theme songs on television during the late '90s), and while you can't chase me through history, you can find me at a couple of local events this fall:
Local Author Book Fair
Salmon Arm Library
Oct 3, 2025 6:00 - 7:45pm
Six local authors will be giving short presentations, followed by a book fair where you can meet the authors and chat one-on-one, have your books signed, or purchase new ones. Attending authors include K.J. Cloutier, L.E. Wagensveld, Keri LeFace, Shawn Bird, Ellie McGaughey, and myself!
Book Signing
Bookingham Palace Bookstore, Salmon Arm
Nov 22, 2025 11:00am - 3:00pm
Drop by to browse, chat books, and have your copies signed! I will have copies of all three of my books with me, including the newly released Crystal Peaks novella, plus themed stickers and bookmarks!
This past Saturday, I also attended my first ever Armstrong Farmers Market and it was an absolute blast. First of all: top tier dog watching, highly recommend. The weather was gorgeous and it was such a treat to meet and visit with new people all morning. To those of you who signed up for my newsletter at this event: welcome! It was a pleasure chatting with all of you and I'm so happy to have you here. I am crossing my fingers very tightly that I'll be accepted to attend the Armstrong Christmas Market this December!

Recent and upcoming releases

I am so over-the-moon grateful for the support from family, friends, and readers of my recently released young-adult rom-com, Heard This and Thought of You. This book was such a joy to write and I'm ecstatic to have it out in the world. It contains so many little pieces of my young self and I hope that readers find it equally relatable and nostalgic.

As promised, I am including for your eyes only an exclusive preview of the first two chapters of the next novella in the Crystal Peaks series, coming this winter!
Our favourite Bestie, Bea, is back- and this time, she's bitter.
I've been busy researching and conducting interviews this year to help bring some of the new resort elements to life, and I can't wait to share what I've been working on!
Fall recommendations
As I've mentioned previously, my life this year has been a little bonkers and, as such, I've been reading significantly less. I've also been consuming less long-form media in general and thereby have no real recommendations in those spaces.
What I can recommend however is that, if you haven't already, you go to Tofino.
I spent a measly three days there on holiday earlier this month and its ravishing landscape now lives rent-free in my head 24/7. I can still feel the morning mist on my cheeks and taste the brine of the ocean. And the food? Don't get me started. This place is truly a very special coastal gem and I cannot say enough good things about it. My new wild and irrational dream is to spend an entire summer there in residence writing a novel in which the characters surf all the time (this will, of course, require much surfing on my part... for research).
In conclusion, I hope to have more books and shows and music to tell you about next time around but, for now, please enjoy a few of my photos from Tofino and join me in dreaming of a world in which we can all regularly escape to the sea for our good health. |
